Beach Scenes

I manage a very small business making and selling hand-printed cards, hand made books, and woodcuts. I sell cards on line, at markets, and though local shops. At this time of year I am already planning and printing Christmas holiday cards but I cannot quite get my full heart into it. It seems so early. And so hot. A couple of days ago it was 92 degrees in Boston, and I threw my bathing suit into a bag and went to the beach with a friend. We spent much of our time sitting in the cold Atlantic, waves lapping, grateful for our great good luck in being there. So yesterday I made a tiny run of six pearlescent shell cards. Here they are.

Made with sand between my toes and a sunburn on my shoulders.

Enjoy that sunshine, friends.

Welcome to my blog where I write about the art and craft of my business. My goal is to make beautiful things, to make art part of everyday life, and to make my friends and family smile. Not necessarily in that order.
